About the Doctor...

Jeffrey Mark Cheskin, D.C., D.A.C.B.S.P. (Diplomat American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians), is originally from Cedar Grove, NJ. He graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelors of Science in Microbiology and completed his doctorate program in Chiropractic at the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Il, where he graduated with honors. He served as a teaching assistant in the departments of Microbiology and Pathology and for 2 years held the position of “Fellow” of the Pathology department under the leadership of Dr. V. Vyas M.D. After completing medical school, Dr. Cheskin moved to Delaware, where he has been in practice since 1990. He is currently the only Chiropractic Physician in the state with a Diplomat level, 3-year sports medicine accreditation. Dr. Cheskin has worked with Olympic and professional athletes, as well as many local sports teams. Dr. Cheskin is proud to announce that he has been chosen to be one of the physicians in the Sports Medicine staff in the University of Delaware Athletics Program.

Maryann Summers ~ Licensed Massage Therapist
Maryann has lived, with her family and two big dogs, in Delaware since 1998.  She has been a licensed massage therapist for 18 years and specializes in multiple techniques including deep tissue, myofascial release and cupping.  Maryann’s philosophy is a an overall, natural approach to health and works closely with Dr. Cheskin to improve the well being of our patients. 

Dwight Chien

Dwight Chien ~ Licensed Acupuncturist, Ph.D & M.S. Chemistry
Dwight Chien is a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in both Delaware and New Jersey, and also a Diplomat of Acupuncture (D.Ac.) certified by NCCAOM (The National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine). He graduated from ESATM (Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine) located in New Jersey. After completing the 3-year acupuncture training at ESATM, Dwight stayed in the school for a couple more years and completed the training on Oriental Medicine. He then studied acupuncture and herbal medicine further in China for more than six months. Recently, he also visited Taiwan to study Wen’s Style New Scalp Acupuncture, which is a Chino-Western style of acupuncture that combines Chinese and Western wisdom in medicine.

Before becoming an acupuncturist, Dwight earned his M.S. degree in chemistry from Louisiana State University in Monroe, LA, and Ph.D. degree in chemistry from The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. Subsequently, he had worked in several chemical and pharmaceutical companies. Since his boyhood, Dwight has always been fascinated by Chinese medicine while observing the practice of Chinese herbal doctors. That leads him to eventually changed his career to become an acupuncturist so that he can more directly help people.
