Welcome to Cheskin Center for Chiropractic and Muscle Therapies. As the title states, we are a wholistic healthcare center combining the best of chiropractic medicine and some of the most comprehensive muscle healing techniques by 4 of our talented healers. If you are experiencing spinal or extremity symptoms and feel that your joints, nerves and/or muscles are involved, it may be worth a visit to see if our unique combination of therapies and therapists can help natually and safely heal your problems. Of course, a comprehensive first visit will be necessary to establish if this office is right for you and there are no contraindication factors that may impede your healing. If you are considering becoming a new patient, any old or current diagnostic testings, physicians or therapists reports or other treatment records would be helpful to bring on your initial visit.
Please fill out our New Patient Form Packet (PDF), which will open in a new window. If your web browswer supports PDF files, you may fill out the forms electronically, then save the completed file to your computer. Please fill out the pages/sections that apply, print and sign the forms, and bring them in during your first office visit. Please note that additional paperwork may be required at time of visit.
All new patients to our facility must go through a comprehensive initial visit and should plan on spending at least 30-60 minutes depending on the complexity of the complaints. (Automobile accidents and Workman’s Compensation cases do take additional time due to unique requirements.) The first step in the process is Consultation: After completing your initial paperwork with details about your condition and various personal information, you will sit down with the doctor and discuss the origin, causes and current status of your symptoms as well as home, work and personal factors that may be involved. The next step is a thorough physical examination consisting of palpation, range of motion studies, orthopedic testing, neurological testing (if necessary), and postural evaluations. Re-creation of the injury is also valuable in assessing the possible damage (especially in sports injuries or accident cases).
If both of these procedures reveal a positive outcome and if diagnostic testing does not reveal any contraindicative factors, discussion of beginning treatment may occur during the first visit (if no diagnostic testing is established to be necessary). This first treatment will consist of light soft tissue mobilization and gentle spinal or extremity manipulation. If excessive muscular spasm is felt, additional physiotherapy modalities may be necessary to loosen the overtightened muscles and reduce any deep inflammation.
If follow up visits are required, you will be asked to return (usually within 48 hours) for a checkup and based on your healing responce, a careplan will be created by the doctor with imput from the patient. Each treatment plan is as individual as the conditions that we see and all respond differently. As your treatment progresses, we have the resources to change and modify as your condition improves.
“I have been a patient of Dr. Jeff Cheskin for approximately three years. I initially went in to see him for lower back pain and headaches as a result of a car accident, my treatments immediately started relieving my headaches and decreased the pain in my lower back, and gave me a much larger range of motion.
Dr. Cheskin and his staff are very approachable, he is always looking for non-invasive opportunities to remedy my pain while explaining my treatment options and what his processes and therapy will do. His staff of Massage Therapists have been able to increase my recovery speed and relieve muscle spasms and fatigue in addition to his procedures.
Dr. Cheskin‘s therapy does not end in the office, he has recommended at home stretching and exercises, as well as helped me create a workout routine to strengthen the areas around my injuries while not aggravating my injuries.”

“I have been a patient of Dr. Cheskin‘s for well over 10 years and have had chronic neck and back pain since August of 1986. I have been seen by numerous medical and pain specialists over the years in numerous states. While these specialists always find my reports, x-rays, and MRI scans intriguing, their medical recommendations are always the same – a lifetime of prescription narcotics and filing a long-term disability claim. Personally, I do not perceive prescription narcotics as a viable or appealing quality of life solution. Furthermore, I enjoy my challenging, fulfilling, and rewarding career and plan to work for many years. I visit Dr. Cheskin regularly, often with no preplanned appointments, because my pain levels are unpredictable. The treatments I receive enable me to continue to work full-time and spend more quality time with my family with significantly reduced pain levels. I can honestly and confidently state that this would not be possible otherwise.
I recommend chiropractic medicine for more than just pain management. It plays a critical role in preventive and maintenance health and well-being. My son and daughter had their first visits to the chiropractor shortly after their first pediatric visit and every few months thereafter. To this day, neither of my children have ever been diagnosed with an ear infection, which I credit chiropractic care. My children are now teenagers and they are very active in sports. They visit Dr. Cheskin approximately every 6 weeks for regular adjustments and are relatively injury free. They always remind me to schedule their appointments and they look forward to every visit! Thank you, Dr. Cheskin!”
